Fears as tainted food kills two children in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra

Two children died after eating biscuits in Kaguro, East Jebel Marra, on Sunday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a relative of one of the children said that in the area of Kaguro, Majeed Yahya Ibrahim (7) and Mudasir Haroun Abakar (9) died of poisoning on Sunday. “The two boys ate remnants of biscuits stored at the Kaguro health centre, which was destroyed by the Sudanese Air Force bombardment on Friday. Children, and also adults, ate from biscuits and other food littered in the area after the bombing.
