Fasher University caves to students’ demand to delay exams

The administration of Elfasher University decided the morning of Saturday to postpone the basic examinations of all the faculties in the university from Sunday to Wednesday, the 25th of this month.

Thousands of students protested last Thursday, saying that about a third of students were unable to make it to exams due to insecurity on the Nyala-El Fasher road.

According a statement by the university, the reason of the postponement was the stability of the university and the disability of some of the students to come to the university from their areas.

The Board of Deans decided, nonetheless, to keep unaltered the calendar of the faculties of medicine, health and applied science.
