Farmers union says lack of seed in South Darfur
A member of the executive bureau of the Farmers Union in Nyala said that they do not expect agricultural recovery in Darfur this season due to lack of response and support from Khartoum for recovery this year. He said that Khartoum this season reversed its policy of distributing seeds and during this season the state obtained 200 tons of seed, equivalent to the share that Nyala Locality alone had received last year. He proposed that the distributions instead be done in a way to advance the recovery of agriculture.
