Farmer slain in Central Darfur robbery
A farmer was shot dead on Saturday by militiamen in Foro Baranga locality in Central Darfur. A relative of the deceased told Radio Dabanga that at about 7.30pm on Saturday, militiamen opened fire on Mohamed Adam Janbi in the area of Kadaro Talangi, while he was returning on his motorcycle from the market of Foro Baranga town to his home in the village of Um Kheir. Janbi was killed instantly. The relative said that the gunmen robbed the dead man of his motorcycle and SDG20,000 ($3,460), equivalent to the value of 40 large sacks of onions he had sold at the Foro Baranga market.
