Farmer killed, another wounded in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra
A young farmer was shot dead and another was seriously wounded in East Jebel Marra today.
They were tending their farms in the area of Taradona this (Thursday) morning, when gunmen fired at them.
“Ismail Adam Saleh died instantly, after which those Janjaweed robbed him of his money, mobile phone, and his donkey,” an eyewitness reported to Radio Dabanga.
He added that the gunmen then attacked farmer Adam Ibrahim and beat him heavily with their rifles. He sustained serious injuries at his head, shoulders, and legs and was transferred to a health clinic for treatment.
