Farm dispute leaves two dead in Yassin, East Darfur
Two people were killed in the Labado area in Yassin locality, East Darfur, on Thursday, in a dispute over the ownership of a farm. The Governor, Col. El Tayeb Ahmed Abdelkarim, told Radio Dabanga that the incident happened between ‘outlaws’ in Labado. He stressed that it had nothing to do with tension between tribes. Abdelkarim said that he instructed the Yassin commissioner and the security service to deter any outlaws in Labado area. Four wounded in Nierteti accident In Central Darfur, four people sustained injuries when their vehicle crashed in Nierteti North on Friday. The commercial vehicle overturned while it was driving from Nyala to Zalingei. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the four wounded were taken to a hospital in Nierteti in critical conditions. They are the vehicle driver, Mohamed Suleiman (21 years), Yahya Abdalla (30 years), Abbas Ahmed Abbas (32 years), and Adam Ali Mohamed (32 years).
