Evacuation south of Darfur’s Jebel Marra continues
The population in the area south of Jebel Marra continue to leave their villages after the authorities warned them about planned military operations. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, several people from the area said that hundreds of households have arrived to the town of Kass in South Darfur and to other areas in the vicinity.“Villagers are arriving at a rate of three lorries and tens of donkey and horse carts daily. People from more than 20 villages south of Jebel Marra have left their homes.
