Ethiopian UNISFA peacekeepers deployed in Abyei
On 27 June, UN Resolution 1990 (2011) was adopted, which established the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA), with a deployment of up to 4,200 military personnel, 50 police personnel and appropriate civilian support. On Friday, 22 July, the deployment of peacekeepers Ethiopian started, in the disputed area of Abyei between the north and south Sudan.
