‘DRA employees not paid since March’: Darfur civil servant

Around 200 civil servants of the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) have complained of non-payment of their salaries for a consecutive period of six months. One of the employees told Radio Dabanga that the Darfur Regional Authority has not paid them their salaries since their appointment in March this year. He said that they have already raised several memorandums to DRA chairman, Dr Tijani Sese about the subject, to no avail. The civil servants also complained that the state ministries where they have been appointed do not recognise them, nor have they been able to do any work since their appointment. File photo
