Doctors in Sennar, eastern Sudan, threaten to strike
On Sunday, the doctors of the Children’s Hospital in Sennar, eastern Sudan, announced that they will embark on an open-ended strike, if their demands for a better work environment are not met within 24 hours. The medics protest in particular against the absence of essential First Aid items, and medical support staff. In addition, they demand the payment of arrears and clothing allowances.
