Displaced raped, robbed, beaten in South Darfur

Militiamen raped three residents of Kalma camp in the area of Ba’ashum, South Darfur, on Sunday. In the same area, nine others were severely beaten and robbed of their belongings. “Militiamen on Sunday assaulted a number of Kalma camp displaced at the farmlands of Ba’ashum, about of 15km east of the camp,” Saleh Eisa, Secretary-General of the camp told Radio Dabanga. “Six gunmen seized three women, and raped them alternately for an hour. In the same area, five militiamen severely beat nine displaced with batons and whips.
