Displaced man killed near South Darfur camp
Militiamen killed an internally displaced man in a camp in Gireida locality, South Darfur, on Thursday. One of the relatives of Ibrahim Abdul Mahid Abdul Gilal told Radio Dabanga that elements of a pro-government militia opened fire on a group of displaced people in the evening. The group was on its way in donkey carts from Hashaba area, west of Gireida town, to the camp. The militiamen killed Abdul Gilal on the spot; the other displaced were unharmed. He said that these gunmen stole all their money, mobile phones, and food, and also seized their donkey carts, after which they escaped.
