Displaced farmer raped in West Darfur

A 40-year-old woman was repeatedly raped by militiamen in West Darfur on Tuesday.

A sheikh of camp Murnei in West Darfur told Radio Dabanga that the woman was returning to the camp after tending her farm.

Two uniformed militiamen riding horses intercepted her on the road, beat her, and repeatedly raped her at gunpoint.

After the attack, the men left her out in the open.
