Displaced beaten and robbed near Central Darfur camp
Militiamen have beaten and robbed a number of displaced people on the road between Ronga Tas and Murnei, in Central Darfur, on Wednesday. A Sheikh in the area told Radio Dabanga that pro-government militiamen on camels attacked the group of displaced while it was on its way back to Ronga Tas camp in Azum locality after shopping in Murnei. “The militiamen beat them and lashed them with whips. Then they robbed them of their money and other properties at gunpoint.” Also on Wednesday, militiamen attackedTranslation Arbab Mohamed Ahmed, a displaced man, inside his house in the camp and shot him.
