Darfur rebels: ‘Defeated Sudanese soldiers rape six girls in Jebel Marra’
The Sudan Liberation Movement of Abdelwahid El Nur leadership (SLM-AW) claims that its forces repulsed two separate attacks on the movement sites in western and southern Jebel Marra on Tuesday, and accused retreating government soldiers of raping six girls.

Waleed Abakar, the military spokesman told Radio Dabanga that the movement’s forces repulsed an attack on its sites in Golol and Fondog Badia in western Jebel Marra.
He explained that the movement managed to destroy nine Land Cruisers and seized 19 machineguns, 47 Kalashnikov assault rifles and nine RPG7 grenade launchers.
He said that the government forces launched another attack on the movement sites at Jariya area southern Jebel Marra.
He explained that the movement caused losses on the attacking forces and seized four RPG7s and 12 boxes of machinegun ammunition.
‘Six girls raped’
The military spokesman accused government forces of raping six girls, including two children at Limo area south of Jebel Marra, after being defeated by the movement’s forces.
