Darfuri rebel forces directed a message to the conference participants at the Doha forum for Darfuri civil society groups. The conference, which began last Friday, is scheduled to end tomorrow. The rebel groups called on the participants of the conference to demand and force the government to stop killing innocent people, burning villages and destroying water sources and animal resources through airstrikes night and day in Darfur. The statement by the ‘resistance forces’, a coalition of JEM-Khalil, SLA-Abdul Wahid, SLA-Minawi, LJM-Kerbino, and united Liberation, demanded in their message to the conference that the participants should not accept any partial solution between the government and the factions, warning against repeating the ‘tragedy of Abuja’. They called on them to demand unity of the factions and form a committee to meet the head of the factions which are participating in Doha and outside it to reach to a fair, just and comprehensive peace.
