Darfur displaced killed by suspect belonging to ‘1000-man network’

Gunmen reportedly shot dead a displaced man in the locality of Kabkabiya, North Darfur, on Tuesday evening. One of the suspects caught by the police “confessed belonging to a 1,000-man network with members from El Fasher and Nyala.”Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the victim Mansour Adam was shot near the Sibag el Kheil camp for displaced in Kabkabiya locality by five gunmen. He was on his way back home after visiting relatives.The gunmen, witnesses said, were “criminals used to rob and kill. They were carrying machine guns, Kalashnikovs, and G3 rifles”.The police managed to arrest the perpetrators and one of them confessed belonging to a network of about 1,000 people led by a man calling himself Jesus the Messiah, sources recounted.Members of the network allegedly hail from Nyala and El Fasher and came yo settle in North Darfur, in the area of Ghara Zawiya, located 18km west of Kabkabiya.File photo: world.guns.ru
