Young Imam Gamar Mohamed died on the spot after shooting erupted from the nearby military base on Tuesday.
A member of the dead child's family told Radio Dabanga that the incident occurred when the armed forces stationed in the area opened dense fire into the air towards the camp.
She pointed out that the armed forces stationed in that area often shoot towards the camp housing thousands of displaced. She said that the incident was reported to the camp police and Unamid.
