Closure of the nomination period in North and South Darfur

Eight candidates in North Darfur are nominated for the state executive and legislative election. The chairman of the supreme commission for Elections in North Darfur announced this yesterday afternoon the closure of the nomination period. In South Darfur Farah Mustafa Al Sanussi, supreme committee commissioner for the elections in South Darfur told Radio Dabanga that six of the 14 political parties have provided lists of candidates for the state governor as well as for the other levels of participation such as the women lists and  constituency seats.
