‘Chad army troops deployed in North Darfur’: Sudan Revolutionary Front
The Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) has accused the Chadian army of deploying troops in North Darfur. “The presence of Chadian troops in Darfur is a violation of the Sudanese territory. They are to withdraw immediately,” the Front said in a statement released on Sunday. “That Sudan allows Chadian forces to enter Darfur proves that Sudan and Chad are partners. They cooperate in committing the terrible crimes in Darfur and violating the international criminal law.” The SRF, an alliance of Sudanese rebel movements, holds Chad partly responsible for the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. It appealed to the UN, and regional and international human rights organisations to demand the immediate departure of the Chadian troops from the country.
