In response to security complaints from displaced persons from Azum locality, Central Darfur, the local commissioner “stressed he is unable to control the lawlessness situation” in the area.
Leaders of the Ronga Tas camp met with the commissioner on Monday to discuss the security situation in the area and the activities of pro-government militias, who often fire gunshots around the camp.
The sheikh of Ronga Tas, Mohamed Sharaf, told Radio Dabanga that many of the shootings happen at night time.
