Celebrations in camps – congratulating South over independence

In camps for displaced people near Zalingei, West-Darfur, people celebrated the declaration of formal independence of the State of South Sudan. They congratulate Juba, thus showing their solidarity and support of the new state. They also expressed hope for future co-operation.

The co-ordinator of the Zalingei camps told Radio Dabanga Hamidiya that todays celebrations are a bid of farewell to their brothers in the South, wishing them a brighter future.
