Bus travel between Nyala and El Fasher disrupted

Owners of buses and commercial vehicles owners at the Nyala-El Fasher stations threatened to close their offices due to frequent problems that occur on the road. They want the problem solved. In response to the shut-down, hundreds of citizens gathered in protest of the buses not being allowed to move to El Fasher for more than a week. Police and security agencies intervened to contain the situation. A number of bus owners said that the crisis of detaining the buses in Nyala for more than a week led to the gathering of citizens and their protest on the halt of bus travel to El Fasher during the last few weeks.
