Attacks on North Darfur police station, security agent

Two gunmen were killed and four policemen were wounded in an attack on a police station in El Sareif Beni Hussein locality in North Darfur on Thursday. A member of the Sudanese security service was killed in a car theft in the state capital that day.
A witness told Radio Dabanga that a number of militants on foot attacked the police station of Beni Hussein town at 3pm, in an attempt to break free one of their arrested comrades. He is accused of killing a person.
The men exchanged fire with the police, who shot dead two of the attackers. Four policemen were wounded.
The militants' attempt did not succeed but the other attackers managed to flee. The police did not chase the perpetrators at the time.
Car theft
A member of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) was killed in a car theft in the capital of North Darfur on Thursday night.
Gunmen opened fire on NISS employee Musab Omar after prayers ended in the evening, a witness told Radio Dabanga. The incident occurred near the crops market in eastern El Fasher.
The attackers then stole Omar's car and fled.
