Army officer shot by subordinate
Captain Adam Mohamed died yesterday after having been shot in Duma by a soldier. The officer, who served at the headquarters of the Sudan Armed Forces Western Command in El Fasher, was transported to Omdurman to receive treatment. Sources in El Fasher said that there was a dispute over a soldier’s request for leave. Apparently having been refused permission to take leave, an angry soldier pointed his weapon and wounded three, including the slain officer. Radio Dabanga was not able not reach someone in the armed forces who could comment on the news.
