Armed forces, militias attack North Darfur village
At least 10 people wounded and thousands of cattle looted in KutumAt least 10 people were wounded and over 1,200 cattle looted in Hashaba, north of Kutum county, in North Darfur on Friday when Sudanese government forces backed by militias attacked the village, witnesses told Radio Dabanga.The incident also reportedly destroyed many wells in Hashaba. “The attackers came in more than 10 Land Cruisers and there were others on camel-backs. They attacked Khashm Wadi, Um Lauta,Tabaldiya and Rashdan villages,” a witness told Radio Dabanga.He added that the attackers wounded at least 10 people and looted all the property of the citizens, including money, luggage, and food commodities, along with at least 1,200 camels, cows, sheep, donkeys, and horses.The witness also told Radio Dabanga that among the wounded civilians were Mohammed Hassan, Abdullah Issa Khalifa, Ahmed Hassan, Ahmed Mussa, Mussa Ibrahim, Abdulrahman Mussa, Ahmed Osman Haran.
