‘All set for Darfur celebrations’: Governor

“All official and popular arrangements for receiving President Al Bashir have been completed to celebrate the completion of the implementation of the Doha Document and the end for the Darfur Regional Authority on Wednesday,” the Governor of North Darfur has announced.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Governor Abdelwahid Yousif said Sudan’s President Omar Al Bashir, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Chad Idriss Deby and the President of the Central African Republic will all attend the celebration.

The Governor said the programme on Wednesday morning will include holding a mass gathering at the field command of the Sixth Infantry in which the Emir of Qatar and the President of Chad will be honoured for their role in the Doha Document for Peace.

He added that Al Bashir will also hold a bilateral summit with the Emir of Qatar and the presidents of Chad and Central African Republic to discuss common issues and aspects of cooperation.
