On Monday, agents of Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) detained three South Kordofan activists and took them into detention in Kadugli.
A family member told Radio Dabanga that the three detainees are El Fadheel Mohammed, Mohamed Rajab Adrawan and Daoud El Faki Kuku. “The security authorities also launched a campaign of arrests among the cadres of the opposition parties in the city, following the military campaign in the region.”
Another activist, Mousa Abdeen, has been in detention, since June 2011, following the renewed outbreak of war between the government and the SPLM.
His brother Khidir Abdeen told Radio Dabanga that he is in a critical health condition and appealed to local and international human rights organisations to exercise all the pressures to allow his family to visit him and see a doctor.
