About 19,000 HIV/AIDS cases in Khartoum state, Sudan
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health of Khartoum state announced that about 1,500 new cases of HIV and AIDS are recorded in the state every year. “Until date, there are about 19,000 HIV/AIDS cases registered in Khartoum state,” the Health Minister of the state, Prof. Mamoun Humeida, told the press on the occasion of the World Aids Day today. “They are treated in some 70 special health centres set up in Khartoum for this purpose.
