50 casualties in inter-tribal clash between herdsmen in Central Darfur
At least 50 people were killed and wounded on Sunday in an inter-tribal clash between hersdmen in Central Darfur. A large number of citizens fled the area. Sources told Radio Dabanga that clashes broke out on Sunday afternoon in the area of Jebel Jou’, north of Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur, between the Mahariya and Bisheshab tribes. The fighting, in which both parties used machine guns and heavy weapons, led to at least 50 casualties from both sides.
