They attacked on board of a dozen vehicles, and were apparently backed up by a local militia lead by a man referred to as Elhadi Abu Shanabat. According to the witness, 45 LJM-members were arrested, whipped and tortured. He furthermore stated that ten of them had been deported to the city of El Geneina, among which Mussa Makki, Abdul Rahman Matar, Hassan Yusuf, Adam Salih Bakhit, and Adam Dina. From his side, LJM-spokesman Ahmad Fadel acknowledged the occurrence of the accident, which he described as unfortunate and “a clear violation to the security agreement signed by the movement with the government”. He demanded the immediate release of the arrested members. The liberation and Justice Movement, led by Dr. Tijani Sese, is the only rebel group to have signed the Doha Peace Agreement, which took place on July 14th, until now.
