3:0 Victory of Sudan over Eritrea

The national team of Sudan has won the first Cecafa match against Eritrea with 3-0. Saleh Ibrahim scored today within 5 minutes after the match commenced. It was followed by another hit in the 27th minute. Mohamed Tahir scored the third goal still in the first half of the football match played in Machakos (Kenya). Ibrahim had missed a chance to put Sudan ahead in the second minute. But he he shot over the bar. Only a few minutes he recovered from for his earlier miss when he headed in a corner in the fifth minute. Twenty minute later Ibrahim doubled Sudan’s lead. He latched onto a Nadir Eltayeb cross to shoot into the near post. Tahir Osman Mohammed received in the 33 rd minute the ball from the keeper when he shot the goal kick outside the box. It reached Osman directly. He finished it off by a shot into the empty net. Sudan was the better side throughout the match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. The inexperienced team of Eritrea only threatened the Sudan keeper two times. For both it was the first match in the tournament.
