22 air raids around Guldo, West Jebel Marra, Darfur
Three people were reportedly killed, three injured, and 47 camels killed on Wednesday and Thursday as a result of aerial bombardments on the area around the villages of Tikto, Bironga, and Krokwari, nearby Guldo town, West Jebel Marra. Various witnesses told Radio Dabanga that an Antonov aircraft bombed the area on Wednesday and Thursday, causing the death of a mother and her two children, and killing 47 camels. The military spokesman for the Sudan Liberation Movement-Abdel Wahid, Mustapha Tambour, confirmed to Radio Dabanga that an Antonov on Thursday bombed large areas of west Jebel Marra and north of Sangaa and Kitour 22 times, killing three people, injuring three others, killing large numbers of livestock, and burning several farms. Tambour added that residents fled to unknown areas. He warned the government not to target civilians and appealed to the international community to define a no-fly zone over Darfur.
