12 houses burn down in West Darfur camp
A fire that broke out at Riyadh camp for the displaced in El Geneina locality, West Darfur, destroyed the full contents of 12 houses on Thursday. One of the women affected by the fire told Radio Dabanga that a number of children had attempted to cook food in one of the houses in the afternoon. As a result, a fire broke out and burned the full contents of 12 houses, along with the damaging of eight other houses. She appealed to the authorities and humanitarian organisations to speed up the provision of aid and assistance to the families affected by the fire.
