One civilian was killed and three wounded in Kereinek on Friday by the police when tens of displaced people protested near the UN headquarters against the slow response by the police to track down unknown gunmen who last Wednesday kidnapped two children and escaped on camelback.
The two children had gone with their mother to get water and the abductors headed with them towards west of Kereinek after kidnapping them. Witnesses said that displaced people and citizens in Kereinek complained to the police but they did not do anything and that the civilian group that set out to track the abductors was not able to catch them.
