Darfurian refugees in E. Chad reject resettlement pressure

Sudanese refugees in Chad told Radio Dabanga that they categorically reject resettlement in model villages on the border between Sudan and Chad. They refused to receive a Darfurian Civil Society delegation that aimed to persuade them to do so in accordance with a government announcement last week. The refugees said this proposal would lead to division among the refugees, between those wishing to return and others rejecting return. They cited what happened in Hamidiya camp, where the factions of the displaced turned on one another.
